Howard served in the Army, and then worked for over three decades for Southern Railway and Norfolk Southern, retiring in 2000. He is also survived by six grandchildren - Jack, Abby, Kate, Maya, Bralen, and Chase.

Howard will be remembered by all that knew him for his infectious personality, his hearty laugh, and for bringing together community wherever he lived.

A private Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held for family at a future date.

We are so sorry to hear of Howard´s passing. He was the first person we met on Tidesebb Court, and that was the beginning of many wonderful memories together. From organizing block parties, vacations, holiday meals, all the parties, and the boys growing up together, it was very special. Rest in Peace, Howard, you will not be forgotten .

I am truly saddened to hear of the passing of Howard. I worked with him for many years in Short Line Marketing.

I will always remember his infectious laughter and how much he loved people and working with our Short Line partners.

Praying for comfort and peace for his family.
