Isaac Andrew YORK Jr.

Isaac Andrew (Babe) York Jr., 78, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013. He retired from helping others at the Catawba Hospital with 35 years of service. "Babe": husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend. He made an impact on so many people's lives that he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Anne S. York; daughters, Rose Marie Dorer of Warrenton, Diana DiCarlo, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Omar Siddiqui, Feroz Siddiqui II, Rashan Siddiqui, Andrew DiCarlo, Joseph DiCarlo, Patrick DiCarlo; sister, Mary Miller of Calif., along with a host of other relatives and extended family.
The family would like to thank the nurses on 8 West, the E.R. staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the nurses and staff (especially Miranda) at Springtree Health and Rehab, Pastors, Maurice Pendleton, Butch Hammed and associate Pastor Danny Rippee for all of their care and support during this difficult time.
