Jack Walton Slusher, 96, of Lynchburg, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was the husband of Merle Slusher for 74 years.
A funeral service to celebrate Jack's life will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, 11 a.m. at Melrose Baptist Church, 3520 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Va. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 21 ,2021, at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg, Va., from 5 until 7 p.m.

Merle, I send my heart-felt sympathy in the loss of Jack, your soul-mate. Jack was a true southern gentleman and a person I was proud to have known and call my friend. He will be greatly missed by many. May he rest in peace with our Lord and Savior.
