Jacqueline Robertson Anderson

Jacqueline Robertson Anderson, 84, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph E. Anderson; and nine brothers and sisters. Her surviving family includes her children, Daryel Anderson and wife, Juana Quinones, of Kingsport, Tenn., Judy Cole and husband, Art, of Richmond, Va., Jill Davis and husband, Ed, of Richmond, Va., and Kim Anderson and wife, Kimberly, of Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren, Shannon Lynch and husband, Jack, Andy Cole, Sara Strube and husband, Andy, Emily Davis, Denyse Oltjenbruns and husband, Josh, Jason Anderson and wife, Kari, Renae Keffer and husband, Kendall, and Catherine Anderson; eight great-grandsons; one greatgranddaughter on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends and staff members of the Richfield Retirement Community. The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A period of visitation will then follow until 9 p.m. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Sherwood Memorial Park. The Rev. Brenda Rowe will officiate at both services. In lieu of flowers, contributions made in her name may be made to the American Heart Association at 4504 Starkey Road in Roanoke, Va. 24014.
