When I first started at the call center with Newport News, Inc., I shared the corner office with James. Right outside the office was James' mail order entry team. Boo and that team adored James', as we all did. He was a great mentor to me. I learned so much from him, especially when it came to making your employees your first priority. James had a heart of gold and I will always be thankful that he was there to guide me at the start of my career. The world is a better place because of him.

I have just heard the news, and I am SHOCKED to say the least....as my tears flow, I remember back when we were all kids "hanging out" together. And yes, we have all gone our seperate ways, but we did not plan that to do that. I guess we just never thought any of us would leave before the others. MY heart , my thoughts and prayers and my deepest sympathy goes out to you the family, I cannot imagine loosing James so young. The last time we spoke, we talked of getting the family's together...now i guess we will have to wait and do that in heaven!

I am so shocked & saddened to hear of James' passing. I worked with James on second shift, many years ago, in the warehouse of Avon Fashions. James was such a joy to work with. James had a humbleness about him. I've worked with many over the years at Avon/NN. James is one whom I would think about on ocassion and wonder how things were going for him after he left the company. He truly touched many lives with that sweet, trusting spirit. James cared about people. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him could see that. Heaven has now received his soul. I am so thankful I had the opportunity of knowing and working with this wonderful man that I could call "friend." My condolences to the family. May you feel the comfort that our Lord promised through His Holy spirit.
