Jerry Collins

1953 - 2025

Jerry Steven Collins, lovingly known as "Pops," passed away on August 28, 2025, in Vinton, Virginia. He was born on October 10, 1953.

A devoted father and grandfather, Jerry is remembered by his children Jessica, Judah (Jennifer), and Janna Meagan, along with his cherished grandchildren Matteo, Tiger Lily, Atlas, and Abigail. His family brought him immense joy, and he embraced the role of "Pops" with pride and affection.

For more than 45 years, Jerry was a dedicated and principled business owner. Known for his inventive spirit and resourcefulness, he pioneered innovative building methods and poured creativity into both his work and personal pursuits. A man of deep faith and conviction, Jerry lived with integrity and generosity.

He had a lifelong passion for writing, music, and movies. He found joy in college football, the Ryder Cup, and especially March Madness. Jerry appreciated life's simple pleasures-a stiff drink on ice, a cold beer after a long day's work, All You Can Eat Crab legs, and anchovies on pizza.

Beyond his personal interests, Jerry was committed to helping others. He volunteered both domestically and abroad in disaster cleanup and rebuilding efforts, offering not only his skills but also his steady presence to those in need.

Jerry's legacy is one of faith, creativity, service, and love for family. He will be remembered as a compassionate man whose life touched many.
