Jerry Riddleberger Obituary

Jerry Lane Riddleberger, 59, of Troutville, Va., went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Jerry was born December 14, 1950, to the late Earl and Juanita Riddleberger. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving with the United States Navy Seabees Amphibious Construction Battalion Two stationed out of Little Creek, Va. Jerry was employed at Appalachian Power Company as a Lineman, coming out of work on total disability in 1996. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Martha; son, Chad; daughter-in-law, Sheree; granddaughter, Bayley; daughter, Lindsey Woods; son-in-law, Jeff Woods; brothers, Ronnie and Barry Riddleberger; sister, Donna Dean. Jerry had a sincere passion for The Lord and took great pride in his children and his granddaughter. He was an avid fisherman. He had an overwhelming love for his dogs Gus and Bella. Jerry was a master woodcrafter. Jerry was a member of Parkway Wesleyan Church. The family will receive family and friends on Monday, May 10, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A service will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010, 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Daleville, Va., with Pastor Mike Lauridsen officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution, please consider Saint Francis of Assisi Service Dog Foundation, P.O. Martha, and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing from here on earth but entering into his new address in Heaven where there is no more suffering and pain. I know it is very difficult for ther ones he leaves behind, but we must take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering, and I do remember how he suffered when we went to church together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Stay strong and God will give you the strenght to get through this.
