Jim BRIEGER Obituary

Jim Brieger, 76, of Boones Mill, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013. Jim was born in Houston, Texas on December 21, 1936, to the late Gerald Telfair and Ruth Lewis Brieger. Jim served in the United States Army in Special Intelligence and later served his community as a police officer. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors Degree and made his career in International Shipping. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bernice Brieger; children, Bridget Costello (Roger), Colbert, Wash., Stephanie Brieger, Post Falls, Idaho, James Brieger (Tracy), Covington, Wash., and Beauregarde Brieger (Stormy), Boones Mill; three grandchildren; brother, Ron B. Brieger (Bette), Houston, Texas; sister, Sharon Planck (Bob), Houston, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home and Crematory, Route 220 at Wirtz Road, 62 Virginia Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
