Kenneth Hall Obituary

Kenneth Colin Hall

April 14, 1948 - July 30, 2023

On Sunday, July 30, 2023, Kenneth Colin Hall, 75 years of age from Smith Mountain Lake departed this world for Heavenly Father's kingdom. He passed away peacefully riding in the car listening to Beach Boy music and falling asleep. He was born on April 14, 1948, to the late Weldon Hall and Dana Sisson Hall of Montgomery County. Ken retired from Roanoke County Real Estate Department and was currently employed part-time with Wampler-Eanes Appraisal Group.

Ken married his high school sweetheart, Dixie Eanes on August 20, 1966. (57 years in a few weeks.) They were blessed with a wonderful marriage enjoying three beautiful children, Julla, Justin, and Jessica. Ken and Dixie traveled to many areas while his health was good. England, France, and Italy, with several trips to California, Florida, Bahamas, Temple trips to Utah, and of course, the beach. So many fun trips with Cline and Neoma, Gary and Cami, as well as his children and grandchildren. Memories forever! He was devoted to his family and so proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many capacities most recently Temple Worker in the Richmond Temple. He loved his association with the Roanoke Valley Hockey Association. He continued supporting the Roanoke Valley Hockey Association as Goal Judge at the "Dawgs" hockey games at the Civic Center. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julla Hall DeMole; parents, Weldon and Dana Hall; father and mother-in-law, Vernie and Mary Eanes; sister, Jean Rose; nephew, Joey Young; brother-in-law, Bobby Eanes.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Justin Hall (Allison); daughter, Jessica Kaiser (Paul); grandchildren, Derek DeMole, Brett DeMole (Heidi), Savannah (Tra) Jackson, Taylor Hall, Nolan Humphreys, Victoria Hall (Tori), Annabelle Hall, Piper Kaiser, Isabella Kaiser, Karl and Este Kaiser, Noah, and Solomon Carroll; sons-in-law, Dana DeMole, and Parker Humphreys; two brothers, Cline S. Hall (Neoma), Wesley Boone Hall (Millie); brothers-in-law, Dewey Eanes (Shirley), Gary Eanes (Cami); sister-in-law, Linda Eanes; and so many special nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

The family wishes to thank Franklin County Hospice especially Nurse Helen, Nurse Betty, and sweet Nurse Jeannette. They treated him so kindly. Forever appreciated.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va.
