Lawrence Amos Obituary

Lawrence Brice Amos

September 12, 1990 - October 20, 2024

Lawrence Brice Amos, 34, of Botetourt County, took his last ride down the hill of his beloved Buchanan home on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Geneva and Sherman Amos; and grandfather, Lawrence Barger.

Left behind are his parents, Melinda and Mike Amos; son, Bradley Jaxon Amos; Jaxon's mother, Tuscany; sister, Cinnamon Dooley (Chris); brother, Blake Amos; niece, Catelyn; grandparents, Judy Barger Edgell and Jim Edgell; a devoted friend to the end, Travis Palmer; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brice never met a stranger, and he was eager to always help anyone in need. He loved his son beyond measure. They were friends, buddies, and comrades. Jax was the light of his life. He was an awesome, patient, and loving father.

He loved working on the farm, riding his tractor with Jax beside him. They rode around the farm, rolled down the hill, and fished in the creek. They were always dressing up in costumes and playing monster. His laugh captivated all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life at the farm will be held at a later date.

Melinda,

I am so sorry that Brice lost his battle. I am sure this was not intentional, which makes it harder.
I understand that drugs are not the same when we grew up. Cannot imagine how to chose what is what. I pray that you and yours find peace.
