Lisa Franklin Obituary
Lisa Franklin, age 57, of Roanoke, passed away on August 3, 2022, and joined her father, Roger Franklin, in Heaven. She is survived by her mother, Carol Nelson, godmother, Shirley Laprad, and numerous friends.
Lisa grew up in Roanoke, where she attended Patrick Henry High School and enjoyed meals with friends, early morning yard sales, her role as a CNA, and was working to obtain her cosmetology license. She loved knitting, crocheting, reading, spending time with friends and her fur-babies, Connie and Ruby. She loved Jesus and lived her life to serve Him. A caring and stoic person, Lisa thought of others over herself and remained private in her battle against cancer.
In lieu of a traditional memorial service we plan to meet at the Olive Garden at Valley View, one of Lisa's favorite places, on September 10, 2022, at 12 noon. All are welcome.

Lisa and I were close childhood friends, and we lived next door to each other for many years. I am so sorry to hear that she is gone so young. I have lots of memories of us as little girls. Rest in Peace.
