Lucille Brunty Obituary

Lucille Brunty, 81, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at her home. She was born January 10, 1930, in West Virginia a daughter of the late Jesse O. Billings and Mary Tilley Billings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Gilbert D. Brunty; and a son, Billy Joe Brunty. Surviving are two sons, Jesse Brunty, of Fairfield, Frankie Brunty, of Buena Vista; one daughter, Dreama Shifflett and husband, David, of Monterey; two sisters, Nannie Bailey, Louise Belcher, both of West Virginia; eight grandchildren, Jessica Shifflett, Elizabeth Shifflett, Shaina Shifflett, Morgan Brunty, Christy Brunty, Ashley Brunty, Kyra Brunty, and Chance Brunty; four great- grandchildren, Kyrstin Allman, who was her pride and joy; daughter-in-law, Linda Brunty; special friends, Roland, Wayne, Patty, and Peggy; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tony Nix officiating. Burial will follow at Spottswood Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista.
