Lynn Kaszar Obituary

Lynn Kaszar

March 3, 1928 - January 4, 2021

Lynn Kaszar, 92, of Martinsville, Va. passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at King's Grant Memory Care Neighborhood. She was born on March 3, 1928 in Sheffield, Ohio to the late Frank and Bessie McClellan Black.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brent Masey; two husbands, three sisters, and one brother. She is survived by daughter, Vaun Masey Gott (and husband, Larry) of Hardy; grandson, Brian Olinger (and wife, Dawn Finney) of Roanoke; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Olinger of Boones Mill, and Masey Pickering of Burlington, Vt.

Lynn was an active member of Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church in Roanoke as well as being an avid bowler and gardener before she was stricken with Alzheimer's and moved to King's Grant Retirement Community in 2016.

The family would like to thank the staff of King's Grant, but especially the nurses in the memory care unit, for all the loving care they gave to Lynn during her time there.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date. If so desired, memorial gifts may be made to the King's Grant Fellowship Fund at 350 Kings Way Road Martinsville, VA 2411 or to Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030.

Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville, Va. is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at norrisfuneral.com.
