May 3, 1950 - April 1, 2024
Lynn Lucas Wimmer of Roanoke, Va., was born on May 3, 1950, and went to be with her Savior on Monday, April 1, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lucas, and is survived by her husband, James E. Wimmer; son, Steven Charles Wimmer (Jenna, Sola, Clem and Pax); mother, Pat Nelson Lucas; sister, Leslie Young; brother, Rick Lucas; and stepsons, James E. Wimmer Jr. (Anna, Anastasiia) William Alex Wimmer (Katie, Justin, and Dylan), and Matthew Belmont Wimmer (Patty, Ryan Cordle, Faith and Kayla).
Lynn graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1968. She attended East Tennessee State for three years majoring in English. Lynn was a member and actively involved in First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Roanoke, Va. She served as head Deacon, sang in the choir, played handbells, and led many Bible studies. Lynn will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Oakey's South Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to (FEPC) First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.Oakeys.com.
