Marcianne Boone Obituary

Marcianne "Marci" Boone

August 23, 1962 - May 2, 2023

Marcianne "Marci" Boone, 60, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2023, surrounded by her family and close friends.

Marci was born on August 23, 1962, to Polly and Leon Boone. She grew up in Martinsville, Virginia and later moved to Roanoke, where she graduated from Patrick Henry HS. While working at Blue Ridge Independent Living Center, she met her love, Ben, and they married on May 30, 1998. Together they worked to build their business of renovating homes.

Marci lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with family and friends, interior design, and caring for her dogs Brody and Kye. She cared deeply for the people around her and made an impact on many lives. She will forever be missed.

Marci is survived by her husband, Ben; mother, Polly; brother, John; niece, Emily (Daniel); godchildren, Mason and Harper; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering at 1622 Red Oak Lane, Roanoke, VA 24018, at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Angels of Assisi in her honor.

I am so sad to hear about Marcianne! We both lived in Martinsville at the same time and went from 4th to 6th grade together.Coincidentally we both moved to Salem/ Roanoke at the same time, and went to Hidden Valley Intermediate together. My mom, Gail Baker, was friends with her parents from their high school days. We lost touch(different high schools), but I saw her again during my college years through mutual friends. I have fond memories of her and I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Much love to her friends and family! With love, Gigi Baker
