Martha Sarah Hoyle

June 23, 1939 - October 9, 2025

Martha Sarah Hoyle, 86, of Roanoke, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ralph W. Hoyle, Sr.

Martha is survived by her children, Kay H. Totten and Wayne Hoyle (Lori); grandchildren, Jessica Hope Flores (Steven), Matthew Wayne Hoyle, William Seth Hoyle, Kimberly Hoyle, and Matthew Paul Hoyle; great-grandchildren, Billy Flores Jr. and Dakota Flores; sister, Susan Swanson (Gerald); two special ladies, Dr. Linda J. Johnson and Mary Richards; and several nieces and nephews.

Martha was a faithful member of Villa Heights Baptist Church for 66 years. She was a unit secretary at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for 26 years. She deeply loved her family and never met a stranger.

The family will have a Visitation on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Villa Heights Baptist Church. A Funeral Service (also at the church) will follow at 1 p.m. with internment at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
