Martha Anne Richardson

Martha Anne Richardson, 80, of Cloverdale, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 28, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Richardson; brother, Robert E. Compton Jr.; granddaughter, Cori Lynn Saunders; and parents, Edgar and Kathryn Compton. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Millie Saunders and Alan and Connie Saunders; four grandchildren, Cindy Clayton and husband, Jamie, Jeff Saunders, Kim Wyrick and husband, Britt and Casi Saunders; five greatgrandchildren, Brooke and Cori Clayton, Taylor and Cadence Saunders, and Austin Wyrick; sisters, Louise Card, Ida Lou Williams and husband, June and Margaret Moore and husband, Louis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Piedmont Cemetery with the Rev. Elmo McLaurin officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
