Mary Louise (Keene) Cox, 88, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Bessie Wood Keene; by her loving husband of 59 ½ years, Herman Lee Cox, on October 1, 2014; a daughter, Pamela G. Cox, on November 5, 1959; and a son, H. Lee Cox Jr., on December 28, 2013.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Robin Fordham and her husband, Doug; her son, Brian K. Cox; three grandchildren, Pam and Bill McEachern, Jessica Fordham, and Darryn Wingfield; six great-grandchildren, Alexis Cox-Miller and husband, Tyler, Ryan McEachern, Jordyn McEachern, Mackenzie Patterson, Nikola Stoll, and Asher Fordham; three great-great-grandchildren, Aurora Serfass, Emersyn Miller, and Arlo Butterworth; and daughter-in-law, Virginia "Genny" Cox.
Friends are welcome to call on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel, 6732 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, where a service celebrating Mary's life will be held immediately following at 2 p.m. in Oakey's Chapel. Interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Online condolences may be sent to www.Oakeys.com.
