Mildred Raines Obituary
February 2, 1936 - January 27, 2022
Mildred "Mickey" Wickline Raines, age 85, of Shawsville, died on Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born in Monroe County, W.Va., on February 2, 1936, to the late Ernest R. and Elizabeth Booth Wickline. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Junior Raines; son, Johnnie Lee Raines; granddaughter, Chelsea Nicole Raines; and two brothers, Buddy Wickline and Danny Wickline.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Danny Lowe; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Becky Raines, Don and Peggy Raines, and Lonnie and Donna Raines; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Hazel Wickline; and sisters-in-law, Debbie and Shirley Wickline.
The family wishes to thank Kim Dix, the Rev. Gary and Brenda Shepherd.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in the Peterstown Cemetery, Peterstown, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
