Myrtle G. Dillon

Myrtle G. Dillon, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 4, 2010, while at her home with her family by her side. She was born on January 23, 1935, in Newhall, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Lottie Hogston. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eula Pennington; and a brother, Burl Hogston, of Princeton, W.Va. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Leonard "Cliff" Dillon Sr.; son, Leonard "Matt" Dillon Jr. and wife, Nancy; daughter, Wanda Murphy and husband, Sam; grandchildren, Ethan and Seth Dillon, and Missy Simmons; brother, Don Hogston and wife, Aggie; two greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, January 7, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lotz Funeral Home on Franklin Road. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010, in the chapel at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke, Va., with her brother-in-law, the Reverend Eugene Pennington officiating.
