Terry, Nita, David & family.
It is so hard to put into words exactly how much Nan meant to me. I think back to 20 yrs ago when I first came to Roanoke. I had the pleasure of working with Terry some and with Nan a lot and then with young Nita. At that time I had lost my mother and husband - at different times but both unexpected. Nan & I use to have long talks after everyone else had left the office for the day. Even as recent as the day before her accident we had some time to talk together.
Terry, I remember going to church with you & Nan and feeling the comfort in the love of our Saviour. You both really helped me overcome my still grieving heart over my lost.
Nita, at even a young age you were so smart and worked so hard following in your mother's footsteps. I loved seeing that gleem in her eyes when your children were mentioned. You are valued and loved as well and your co-workers and friends are here for you. David, I remember Nan speaking so proudly of you and could hardly wait for a visit and the time to spend with you and your son. When he was very young she would bring him by the office so we could see how he was growing and how handsome he was.
Nan would always light up when I ask her about her precious sweet grandchildren.
You already know what a hard and dedicated co-worker she was. I also know you feel how much she was and still is loved. Nan was so careing, kind and helpful to me for the past 20 years. Hardly a day went by without me calling on Nan with a question. Her work ethics were unquestionable and her ability to remember and her sharp keen mind always amazed me. She was sincerely a friend, co-worker and mentor every day.
I feel the grief and pain of such a special family but I know your faith will help you to bear it until you meet with her again.
The celebration of her life by you was so beautiful and heartfelt and such an expression of honor to her. I know she is so proud of each of you.
It was a pleasure to meet Nan's brother and sisters. It would be so nice to hear a continuation of stories and see pictures of some of thoes wonderful memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Ayres family:
I work for e-Recovery Solutions; we perform debt collection for McKesson. I have had the pleasure of working with Nan for 10 years and she was truly a pleasure to talk to. I pretty much talked to her every day and always was happy to see her phone number pop up on the caller ID, as I knew there would finally be a friendly voice on the other end. I was honored that she felt comfortable enough to share with me her plans to visit family or stories of time spent with the grandkids (who she absolutely adored). I can't even imagine your pain, but I know that the Lord will comfort you and carry you through this hour of need. Nancy will be greatly missed by the staff at e-Recovery Solutions, but we feel fortunate to have ever had the honor to know her. God Bless-

I worked closely with Nan for 4 years and there are no words to even begin to describe what a wonderful, caring, thoughful, and generous person she was. Nan was a source of information that can never be replaced. She was one of the hardest working women I will ever meet and will truley be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends that knew Nancy and those of you who didn't. God Bless.

Nancy, You are sadly missed by all of us poor souls here on earth. God really wanted a special Angel when he called you home, or else he wanted you there to keep "Hurricane Fran" under control up there. Please tell Fran how much we miss her everyday, give her a big old hug and kiss from us, you two have a lot of chatting to catch up on. Please know you are truly missed. Heaven just got a little sweeter with you there. Goodbye for now.

Terry, Nita and family;
I had the pleasure and honor of working with Nan for 5 years and I had never met someone as kind as she was. She always had a kind word for everyone she met. Our talks at lunch I will always remember and hold them close to my heart. I always enjoyed seeing her face light up when I asked how the grand kids where. I will truly miss her and the office will not be the same without her there. Her wisdom and knowledge will be greatly missed for she always knew what to say just at the right time. Remember the memories and hold them close to your heart...
Thank you for sharing her with all of us and she will always be apart of the McKesson (Per-Se) family.
God bless you all and you are in our prayers.

Nita;
I feel your pain in the loss of your mom; Our mom's are angels sent from God to lead us along the road of life. When they are gone it is never the same; it is times that you will feel that part of you is gone. She is closer then the air you breathe and the Lord will fill the emptiness in your heart and give peace in your darkest times. If you need anything remember your family and friends are here for you.

"To be absent from the body in to be presence with the Lord"

Nan I love you and thank you for being my friend...
