Nelson Thomas Hodges

Nelson Thomas Hodges, 79, of Rocky Mount, Va., died on Monday, October 29, 2007. He was born April 15, 1928 to the late Robert Lee and Eva Abagail Hodges. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Linwood Lee Hodges, Thomas Wayne Hodges and David Leon Hodges; and son-in-law, Kenneth Andrew Lynch. Surviving are his wife, Florence Sink Hodges; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila Lynch, Tammy and Ricky Dillon, Teresa Dale and Mickey Lynch; daughters-in-law, Loretta Gore and Patsy Hodges; sister, Ruby Turner of West Virginia; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2007 with the Rev. Thomas C. Siddle officiating. Interment will follow in the Hodges Family Cemetery. His family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main St., Rocky Mount, Va.
