Patricia Flora Obituary

Patricia Joy Flora, 63, of Rocky Mount died Friday, June 25, 2010 as the result of an automobile accident. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ruth Freed, of Nappanee, Ind. Surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Chris Woods, Amy and James Sink; grandchildren, Ryan and Lindsey Bowman, Allyson Shockley and husband, Brian, Dustin Carter, Terry Sink, III, Christopher Sink; great-grandchild, Trey Shockley; two step -great-grandchildren, Hunter and Logan Shockley; three sisters, Donna Weaver, Kathleen Farmwald, Doris Peach and husband, Steve; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Andrew Gray. Memorial services will be conducted from Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Bruce Huffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 18401 Virgil H. Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 or Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren, 2363 Brick Church Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral & Cremation Service, Rocky Mount.

I did not know Ms. Flora all that well but I will always remember her sweet words...She was a very beautiful distinguished woman and graced everyone she came in contact with. You will be truly missed and your family are in my thoughts in this difficult time.
