Patsy and my mother were such good friends. She and her family were also good neighbors. One of my best childhood memories is of a day when I was one of several young girls in the community that Patsy hosted for a cooking lesson. She and my mother were long-time members of the West Gretna Home Demonstration Club, and the cooking lesson may have been a club project. I only remember that she had great patience with us. Neil and I send our prayers to Herman, Joan, Glenn, and your family.

I am sorry to hear of Patsy's death. I attended Siloam Methodist Chruch in Pittsville as a child and young adult and Patsy and her family also attended there. I remember how hard she worked trying to get the church rebuilt after a fire destroyed the old church in the mid 50's. I went to Gretna High School with Joan graduating the year after she did. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of sorrow.
