Paul Glass Obituary

Mr. Paul Thomas Glass, Sr., of Walkersville, Md., died on Tuesday, July 4, 2006 in Frederick, Md. He was the husband of Patricia Richardson Glass. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was a son of the late James W. and Shirley Garrett Glass. Mr. Glass was retired from IBM where he worked as an IT Specialist and Project manager. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Paul T. Glass, Jr., and wife, Christine of Westminster, Md., and Pamela J. Glass and dear friend, Gaye J. Eckenrode of Frederick, Md.; two brothers, James L. Glass and wife, Beverly of Vinton, Va. and Kenneth Glass and wife, Barbara of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Connor and Noah Glass; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his brother-in-law, Gus Croft of Abingdon, Va. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Glass Croft. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 7, 2006 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 10 a.m. from the Trinity United Methodist Church, 705 West Patrick Street, Frederick. The Rev. Dr. Harold B. Wright II, pastor and the Rev. Lynn Wilson, assistant pastor, will officiate. Private interment will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 705 West Patrick Street, Frederick, Md. 21701 or to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, Md. 21702.
