Raymond Richard Hubert

February 6, 1933 - September 29, 2025

On the morning of September 29, 2025, Raymond R. Hubert of Roanoke, Va., formerly of Springville, N.Y., entered into rest. He was born February 6, 1933, to the late William and Elma Hubert.

Beloved husband of 66 years to Mary. He is survived by his children Susan (George) Mangicaro, and Kathleen Hubert. Grandfather to Cassandra (Timothy) Howery, Nathan (Elizabeth) Wolniewicz, Liam (Zoe) Smith, Evan (friend Olivia) Smith and Gabriel Smith. Great-grandfather of Aidan and Alexandra Howery; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brother of Willam (Constance) Hubert; and preceded in death by his brother Cornelius (Geraldine), Clifford (Judy), and sister Kathleen (late James) Gearin.

Mr. Hubert Served in the Air Force stationed in Korea and Japan. He was a long-time member of American Legion Post #431.

Ray enjoyed mowing the lawn, tinkering in the garage, fixing things and spoiling his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a donation to Good Samaritan Hospice of Roanoke, Va.

Services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 12 pm at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.
