Robert John Patane Sr., 78, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Daleville, Va., 540-992-1212.

My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Patane and all of Bob's family. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, it was a pleasure working with him at GE. He was a great friend and co-worker.

Mr. Patane was a great guy and source of smiles in all of us. I shall sorely miss him and the everyday fun we had together as part of our daily discussions. I am blessed to have known him.

so sorry to hear about bob, he was a great brother rat and he and i attended plc at both parris island and quantico.first met him on the yankee train from new york night before we entered the institute.
