Ruby LYONS Obituary
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Charles V. Lyons; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Teresa Lyons, of Christiansburg, and Charles V. Jr. and Mary Lyons, of Hampton; daughter Donna Duncan, of Pulaski; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford, with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Gethsemane Baptist Church. The Lyons family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

Our family has been overwhelmed with all of the kindness that all of you have shown during this time as we have lost our beloved mother.The last few years have been difficult ones for mom,But yet she fought so hard.She is my "hero".Mom,I Love You always,and though their will always be an emptiness in my heart,I know that you are watching me from above.I will try to make you proud!Your baby son.

David , I first met your family in the late 1960's when we went to church together. It was a 2nd home to me as well as your mother making me welcome. Your loss is close to me as if it was my own mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Donna, Jr. and Charlie , her husband and soul-mate. We were so sorry to hear about Ruby. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time. We know how hard this has to be on all of you. We always loved Ruby as we did all of you. You were good neighbors when we all lived in Walnut Subdivision. We know you will miss her very much but she is now singing in that heavenly choir and is at peace. I remember Mrs. Lyons when both of our families attended East Radford Baptist. She loved to sing, and it seems like she song alot at the church. Very nice lady. My thoughts and prayers with be with the family. God Bless.

Charlie and family,
I cannot know the depth of your loss and the pain of your grief right now. But I do know that God has gained a beautiful angel, Ruby. Her sorrows and suffering are gone and she watches over you with grace and love.
