I first met Sam when I was a junior officer, new to the Air Force Reserves. Sam was a driving force in my decision to stay in the Reserves. He was dedicated to his country and his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.

Sam was a good friend, close confidant, and fellow Air Force officer for many years. He was a man of many talents and varied interests. Sam loved to talk, to anyone about anything. Sam was my deputy commander. Sam got the job done. Sam was one of a kind. Sam was my buddy. Sam, I will sorely miss you. Sam is with God. God will be with Sudy and the family. I love you all.

I had known Sam for over 25 years. My son and I use to play golf with Sam at Spring Lake Country Club. We will never forget playing with him on the days that he had a hole in one on Holes 10 and 16 and his joy and excitement. He was certainly a gentleman, an outstanding officer, and a friend. We give thanks for his life, his service to his country, and the opportunity to know him.
To Sam's family, may God comfort you during this time of sorrow. Each of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sam and I met in the '70s while serving in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. We shared many great times together, the last few years golfing and fishing in Washington. His infectious personality was a draw to anyone around him. Sam was a true professional, officer, gentleman and above all a dear friend. Sudy and family, may you have high courage to press on!

Sam was everyone's "buddy". We know him from his cheerful, optimistic outlook and disarming smile. He will be remembered for the quiet reserved dignity that he brought to his professional responsibilities and his personal relationships. God speed, Sir.

Sam Dressler was a great Air Force Officer, mentor, leader and above all friend. He treated everyone with compassion and respect and took the time and effort to know and understand his friends. I know that he is peacefully resting in a far better place now because he understood and accepted that Heaven was the ultimate destination for all of us.
I will miss him greatly and would like to express my deep condolences to Sudy and the rest of his family.
