Sharon J. Virostek, 52, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023.
Born on August 11, 1970, in Maspeth, N.Y., she was the daughter of Edward and Eleanor Grabski.
Sharon was an Instructional Assistant at Roanoke City Public Schools, working most recently at Grandin Court Elementary School.
She was a member of Our Lady of Nazareth Parish. For seven years, she dedicated her time volunteering in a variety of roles for the Hidden Valley Mighty Titans Marching Band.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Steven Virostek; her two daughters, Rachel and Samantha; her mother, Eleanor Grabski; sister, Sherry Cizan; brother, Glenn Grabski; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Oakey's South Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Oakey's South Chapel with Monsignor Patrick Golden officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to her daughter Rachel's Relay For Life fundraiser, which supports cancer research at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/teamrachel.
