Teddy Caudell Obituary
December 4, 1933 - June 8, 2025
Teddy Caudell, 91, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed to meet his Lord on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Born December 4, 1933, in Olestee, Oklahoma, to the late Marium Marshall Caudell and Pauline Setliff Altice, he is also preceded in death by his step-father, Leonard Altice.
Teddy was a proud veteran of the United States Army from which he received an honorable discharge in 1958. He was fascinated with Germany, its history and culture, and was fairly fluent in German. Teddy was employed with Norfolk Southern for 30 years before his retirement.
Friends are welcome to attend a visitation on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Lower Parlor of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, with Pastor Ben Lockhart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the medical staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the compassionate care and loving kindness given to Teddy.
