Vincent Joseph Lease

Vincent Joseph Lease, 91, years, of Blacksburg, died at home, peacefully in his sleep, on the morning of Saturday September 8, 2012. He was born in Force, Penn. on September 7, 1921, to the late Adam and Mary Regulski Lease. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Hope Lease, and four of his six siblings. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy. With his own hands, he built a home for his family in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania and was employed by Dravo Corporation for 40 years. When he was 80 years old, he moved to Virginia to live with his daughter, and truly enjoyed the nature and wildlife of the New River Valley, his daily walks at Pandapas Pond, and visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway. He thought that the people of Virginia were the friendliest he had ever met. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Dr. Cynthia Lease of Blacksburg, his sister, Pauline Lovenduski and his brother, David Lease, and their spouses, all of Force, Pennsylvania, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Salem VA Medical Center Chapel at noon on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Blacksburg at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
