William DURBIN Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda Adams Durbin; children, William Timothy Durbin, and Jodie Durbin Williams and husband, Harris; and grandson, Weston David Faulkner.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom McCrea officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rowan County Hospice, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144 and/or Forsyth County Hospice, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

We were so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We have known Bill for
35 years years, and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brenda, Jodi and Tim during their time of sorrow.

I was hired as a new Operations agent in Roanoke in late 1963, and came to know Bill when he was first based as a pilot there. After all these years I still consider him to be one of the nicest persons I have ever met. Me, as a new Ops agent, and he, as a new pilot, taught each other a lot about the entirely different positions, and I think it helped both of us... especially me. I always appreciated that, and how I could ask his advice on how to best work with other pilots. I was not surprised when Bill kept rising through the ranks. Such a fine man will surely be greatly missed. My sympathy goes out to all his family. It was an honor for me to have known Bill Durbin.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts & prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I knew Mr. Durbin through his daughter Jodie & thought he was a very kind & gentle man & was a great father & husband. You all have many wonderful memories to cherish. Love to each & everyone of you.
