Billy Harp Sr.
LUMBERTON — Mr. Billy Jack Harp Sr., 84, of Lumberton, passed away on April 9, 2014, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, the Rev. Tim Little officiating.
He was born in Red River County, Texas on Sept. 18, 1929, to the late Willie F. Harp and the late Elizabeth Bridges Harp. He previously worked as an accountant at Whisper Knits.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kathryn Garrett Harp.
Mr. Harp is survived by a very special friend, Joyce Musselwhite of Lumberton; his son, Billy Jack Harp Jr. of Little Elm, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Smith (Eddie) and Sallie Wade, all of Lumberton; four grandchildren, Laura Civilla (Derik), Alison Judd (Doug), Steven Smith (Katie) and Philip Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Trent Walton, Anthony and Eli Civilla.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: CBF Mission Fund at First Baptist Church Lumberton, P.O. Box 938, Lumberton, N.C., 28359.
