Daniel Clayton Plumadore
Daniel Clayton Plumadore, age 86, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, passed away on May 19, 2025, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina. He was born in Moriah, New York on Nov. 8, 1938, to the late Clyde and Lillian Plumadore. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and later served on the Cortland County Sheriff's Department for many years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed singing and playing his guitar and ballroom dancing. His hobbies included cooking, classic cars, landscaping and woodworking. He also found joy in spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.
Dan was predeceased by his brothers, Tony Plumadore of Spring Hill, Foruida, Joe Plumadore and wife Edna of Cortland, New York, Garry Plumadore of Groton, New York, Deane Plumadore of Carthage, New York, and David Plumadore of Cortland, New York; his sisters, Marylin Hickox and husband Bob of Cortland, New York, Barbara Sabastino and husband Hank of Cortland, New York, Sue "Katherine" Ware and husband Bobby of Carthage, New York, and Diane Knight and husband Chuck of Carthage, New York; and his brother-in-law, Mike Ashcroft of West Carthage, New York.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Kristine Dini of the home; his sons, Keith Plumadore (Michelle) and Danny Plumadore (Becky), both of Cortland, New York; stepsons, Aaron Gasper (Jeannie) of Fairfax, Virginia and Joseph Gasper (Aracely) of St. Pauls, North Carolina; brother, Harry Plumadore (Betty) of Denton, Texas, sisters, Ida Steenburg (Gary) of Champion, New York and Margarite Ashcroft of West Carthage, New York; sisters-in-law, Patricia Plumadore of Springhill, Florida and Beverly Plumadore of Groton, New York; his grandchildren: McKenna Plumadore, Amber Plumadore, Brandon Plumadore, Jessica Plumadore, Melissa Plumadore, Ethan Gasper, Mason Gasper, Dayra Gasper and Dania Gasper; and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service, 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th St. in Lumberton. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev. Henry Edwards officiating.
