GLENDA THOMPKINS OWENS
WILMINGTON — Mrs. Glenda Tompkins Owens, 80, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Wilmington. She was born on Aug. 8, 1938 in Robeson County to the late Marion Tompkins and the late Clara Tompkins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy Wayne Owens.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby E. Owens Sr. of the home; two sons: Bobby E. Owens, Jr. and wife Cindy of Wilmington and Mike Owens of Long Beach, Calif.; six grandchildren, Crystal Mullis, Cari Hopper, Joshua Owens, Justin Owens, Matthew Owens, and Andrew Owens; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, with Rev. Rick Crocker officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont. The family will receive friends following the burial at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Home Office, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
