JEFFREY LEE OXENDINE
MAXTON — Jeffery Lee Oxendine, 54, of Maxton, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Family Cemetery.
Jeffery was born on Oct. 12, 1962, in Scotland County. He was the son of Evelyn Locklear Oxendine and the late Monroe Lee Oxendine. He retired after many years of service as a truck driver for Land Star Trucking Company. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church who enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars, trucks and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther Oxendine and Annie May Oxendine, James A. Locklear and Flora Locklear; and a sister-in-law, Mary Oxendine.
Jeffery is survived by his mother, Evelyn Oxendine of Maxton; sons, Tristan Alexander Oxendine, of Florence, S.C., Zachary Lee Oxendine and Mason Grant Oxendine, both of Laurinburg; brothers, Johnny Lee Oxendine, of Maxton, Randy James Oxendine (Jacqueline) of Wilmington, Danny Lee Oxendine (Amanda) of Little Rock, S.C.; sisters, Annie Pearl Norton (Benjamin) of Maxton, Lisa Hunt (Greg) of Lumberton; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A time of visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
