JOHNNY DEAN CHAVIS
PEMBROKE — Mr. Johnny Dean Chavis was born on Nov. 20, 1962, and departed this life on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center at the age of 55.
The funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pembroke with Pastor Stevie Jacobs, Rev. Dr. Tim Chavis and Pastor Vee Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in the Dreamland Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Johnny Chavis.
Mr. Chavis leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Tina Chavis of the home; three sons, Jacobie Ammons and Zachary Ammons, both of Lumberton, and Samuel Chavis of the home; a daughter, Johanna Chavis of the home; his mother, Mrs. Jean Chavis of Pembroke; siblings, Mrs. Jeannie Jones (Chris) of Maxton, Mr. Leonard Neil Chavis of Tennessee and Mr. Timothy Bell of Oklahoma; special nieces, nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church, 610 Normal St., Pembroke, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the family for continued support during this very difficult time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Revels Funeral Home Pembroke.

Sorry for your loss, you were my classmate and will be missed. So nice to see Johnny and his family at the July 4th parade a couple of years ago in Pembroke. He will truly be missed.
