Richard M. Barnes
Richard M. Barnes, 81, passed away on Aug. 5, 2025 in Gatesville, N.C.
He is survived by his sisters Martha Beam and Mary Anne Schiller.
Rik grew up in Lumberton and later lived in Greenville, N.C. for many years. He was a dealer of rare books in which he had an avid interest. He was an accomplished writer, caricature artist and a member of the Sierra Club. Rik had an interest in all people and environmental issues. May he rest in peace.
