Sue Williamson Quick
Sue Williamson Quick, 74, passed away Sept. 1, 2025, in Concord, N.C. peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Whiteville, N.C., the daughter of the late D.W. (Wilbur) and Aileen Williamson.
Mrs. Quick was a member of Antioch Community Faith Church. Her love for her faith, family and community was evident to all who knew her. Her first job was at Advanced Drainage where she learned the value of hard work and developed a strong work ethic that shaped her life. Sue later worked at Sandhill Quilting as an office manager, where she built lasting relationships and was admired for her dedication and professionalism.
Outside of work, Sue enjoyed the simple joys of life. She loved gardening, had a knack for finding treasures while thrift shopping and enjoyed spending time with those who she loved dearly. Sue was honest and straightforward, never afraid to speak her mind. Her vibrant spirit, sense of humor and caring heart left an impact on everyone around her.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Ronnie Quick, of 42 years. She cherished others including her stepdaughter, Elizabeth Parrish (Bill Parrish) of Bennettsville, S.C. and siblings, Frances Ivey, Judy (Wilbur) Lane, Phyllis (Larry) Robbins, Danny Williamson, Kenny Williamson, and Mickey (Susan) Williamson. Sue was also a loving grandmother of three grandchildren, Hannah Parrish, Will Parrish (Aubrey Price), and Chase Parrish. Also special to her was her dog who was her sidekick of many years, Billy Bob.
Sue will be remembered for her caring heart, willingness to help anyone in need, strong faith, dedication to her family and unwavering work ethic.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville, S.C., with burial at W.R. Quick Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jerry Shaw. A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
