Kathryn "Kathy" Ackerman, 89, of Grass Creek passed away peacefully at 3:42 a.m., Friday, Feb.13, 2026 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.
Born Feb. 25, 1936, in Winamac, she was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Kersey) Brown.
She was a 1954 Winamac High School graduate.
On May 13, 1967 she married Leamon "Lum" Ackerman. He preceded her in death Jan. 12, 2015.
Kathy was formerly employed at Moore Business Forms in Rochester for over 20 years. After her retirement she worked at Nickels Bakery in Rochester.
Kathy enjoyed playing cards, traveling, quilting and bowling.
Survivors include her children, Andrew Curtis (Deb), Michael Curtis (Linda), Robert Zimmerman, Karen Sue LeVeque (Jim) and Audry Gard; and son-in-law, Kenneth McClure. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Debra McClure, son Randall Curtis, brother Ivan Brown, sister Delores Lugenbeal, son-in-law Fred Gard and daughter-in-law Anita Zimmerman.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be at Grass Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.
