Alva Bennett Obituary

Born April 21, 1929 ~ died February 19, 2024 at age 94 following a brief illness. Teeny was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Marion Emmett Bennett, her son Ricky Dee Bennett, her son Patrick Dennis Bennett, and her brother Allison 'Al' Sanders. She is survived by her son Marion "Conway" Bennett (wife Marcia, grandchildren Brianna Burns & Mark Bennett, great grandchildren Lindsay & Caleb Burns, her son Mark Thomas Bennett (wife Laura, granddaughter Rachel Rentz, great grandchildren Landon & Noah Rentz), widowed daughter-in-law Jackie Bennett and granddaughter Brooke Davis (Ricky), grandson Eric Bennett (Dennis), sister Mary Elizabeth Calhoun Lewis (age 99) and numerous nieces, nephew and friends. Teeny was a member of First Baptist Church of Conyers, where she taught a Sunday School class for several years before retiring to care for her son Dennis during his illness. Teeny and Marion spent most of their lives in Atlanta, where they owned a business with Marion's brothers and in Conyers, GA in their later years. Teeny moved to west Georgia 7 years ago to be near her surviving sons Conway and Mark.
