Donald Milam Obituary


Mr. Donald Milam, age 70, a longtime resident of Conyers died Sunday, August 16, 2009. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Conyers and was retired from IBEW Local 613 after many years of service. He enjoyed reading, loved his work and was an active member of the North Rockdale Home Owners Association. Mr. Milam was born on September 23, 1938 in Dekalb County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Milam. Mr. Milam is survived by his wife: Mrs. Jane Milam of Conyers; step-sons and daughter-in-law: Terry Hull and India Hicks of Conyers, Ronald Almand Hicks of Covington; sister and brother-in-law: Annette and Jim Laster of Covington; uncle: Archie Mulkey of Jasper; 7 step grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00PM. The funeral service will follow at 4:00PM in the Chapel. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery. The Rev. Reese Sanders will officiate the services. Friends may sign the on-line registry at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
