Phyllis Welch Obituary

Phyllis Elizabeth Welch, age 75, a beloved wife and cherished member of her community, passed away on October 21, 2024 in Conyers.

Phyllis lived a life filled with love of the Lord and devotion to those around her. Her unwavering faith was evident as she would sing joyfully in church. Phyllis and her husband owned Alpha Fire and Security where she spent many days as the accountant. Phyllis also really loved going shopping.

She was preceded in death by parents, John Herbert and Mary Pauline Gurney, a sister, Ione Higa, and brothers, Ramon, Charles and Paul Gurney. She is survived by her husband, Victor Welch, sister, Kathy Sue Farmer, Stepdaughter, Rachel Hardy, and her Grandchildren, Quay and Lana Hardy.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 25, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Wadley officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
