Roger Evan Jones
Roger Jones Obituary
At the Age of 17, Roger joined the Air Force and served his country as an aircraft mechanic, crew chief, and flight engineer. After leaving the Air Force, he moved to Ajo, Arizona to work in the copper mine. While in Ajo, he met and married JoAnn Blount in 1961. Together, they had 3 sons and at the time of her death, they had been married for 59 years.
During his marriage, Roger had various careers including miner, mechanic, pipe yard foreman, and owner/operator of several businesses.
Roger's work took him and his family from Ajo to Texas, Tucson, Wyoming and then retired in Arizona.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, his wife JoAnn, and his son, John (Brigitte).
He is survived by his sons, Earl (Amy) and Justin (Cindy), six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the Jones family would love donations to be made to Meals On Wheels of Chino Valley.
