Billy Baker Obituary

Billy Dean Baker, Sr., 70, of New Market, died October 4, 2025 at his home. He was born March 11, 1955 in Duquoin, IL and was a son to the late James and Mary Macaluso Baker, Sr. Billy retired from Howell Metal as a crane operator. He attended Christ Gospel Church in Dayton. On November 20, 1974 he married the former Joyce Marie Miller, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter; Teresa Brock (Brian), of New Market, a son; Billy Dean Baker, Jr., of Elkton, three granddaughters; Samantha Caperton and Samanda Caperton (Matthew) both of New Market, Sierra Baker, of Staunton, four grandsons; Taylor Brock (Jazz Franks) of New Market, Tyler Brock (Alyssa Phillips), of Timberville, Ryan Brock, of New Market, Levi Baker, of Staunton, great grandchildren; Mason, River, Rain, baby Lucas due in November, four brothers; Carly, Richard, Louie, Donnie, all of Duquoin, IL and a sister; June Roznowski, of Elkville, IL. He was preceded in death by a brother; Jackie Baker. Rev's Kent Prell and Jacob Weatherly will conduct a graveside service on Wednesday 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in New Market. Friends may pay their respects and sign a guestbook Tuesday from 9 AM – 6 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. The casket will be closed. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Gospel Church (memo line, Missions), 290 Eastview St., Dayton, VA 22821.
