Charles Crounse Obituary

Charles Dearmont Crounse (1946-2025) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 5, 2025 at his residence. Mr. Crounse is survived by his wife, Kay White-Crounse; daughter, Simone Benson (John Coburn); and his step children, Joseph E. White (Bobbie White), Michael White, Bridgett Benson Thomas, and Kim Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alma Crounse; and a brother, Andrew Crounse. Charles was a long-distance trucker for most of his life. His endless travels took him to all 50 states. He had a great love for music, playing guitar, and tinkering with his trucks and cars. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. Charles was blessed with grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Morgan, Brennen, Makayla, Shauna and Tristan. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Owen, Luke, Emma, and Seneca. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 12, 2025 from 1 until 2 PM at People's Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM with Pastor Jay Hanger officiating. Burial will be held privately and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association by visiting www.lung.org
