Eleanor Volice Ritchie

Eleanor Volice Ritchie, 104, of Harrisonburg and formerly of Fulks Run, died August 24, 2025 at Blue Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Harrisonburg. She was born June 16, 1921 in Fulks Run, VA and was a daughter to the late Lyman and Lillie Lantz Fulk. She was a homemaker. On November 19, 1938 she married Delmar M. Ritchie, who preceded her in death on January 13, 1996. Surviving is a daughter; Joyce Moyer, of Bergton, a son; Terry Ritchie, of Claremont, NC, three grandchildren; Tanja Moyer Smith, Joshua Lane Ritchie, Mark Allen Ritchie, six great grandchildren; Daniel Smith, Matthew Smith, Courtney Hefner, Jeffrey Hefner, Jenna Hefner, Nick "Evan" Hefner; two great grandchildren; Dylan and Lucas; and one sister; Evelyn "Jean" Moyer of Harrisonburg. She was preceded in death by six siblings; Edith Trumbo, Vivian Turner, Rita Mae Halterman, Virginia Dove, Stanley Fulk, James C. Fulk, and Kerwin Fulk. Pastor Terry Ritchie will conduct a funeral service 1:00 PM Friday at Grandle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mtn. Grove Cemetery in Fulks Run. Friends may visit Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway on Thursday from 6:30 – 8:00 PM.
