William Weekley Obituary

William Allen "Buddy" Weekley Jr, 72, of Mount Solon, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at his home. He was born on February 13, 1953 and was a son of the late William A. "Bill" Weekley, Sr. and Edith (Huffer) Weekley. Buddy was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He retired from Augusta County. Buddy loved the outdoors. He was united in marriage to Susan Gordon Weekley. In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister, Kaye Burke & husband Paul; sister-in-law, Pat Cline & husband John; two brother-in-laws, James "Jimmy" Gordon and David Gordon & wife Angie; his dogs, Bambie, Penny and Pansie; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service celebrating Buddy's life will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater with Pastor Al Tuten officiating. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater. Online condolences may be sent to the family at johnsonfs.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater, Virginia.
