Charlie Proctor Obituary

Charlie Earl Proctor Rocky Mount, NC - On August 28, 2025, Earl left his earthly home to be with his heavenly father and family. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening, September 2, 2025, at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in Upper Town Creek Cemetery, Elm City.

Earl was graduate of Elm City High School, a graduate of Wilson County Technical College with a degree in civil engineering, and a graduate of North Carolina School of Banking at Chapel Hill. He grew up on a farm and he worked with electrical contracting. Earl most enjoyed his career in the banking world in real estate and facilities. As Senior Vice President at BB&T, he enjoyed watching the bank grow to a world class institution and his team become leader in all walks of there lives. Earl was always helpful to many, and he will be missed by all.

Earl is survived by his son, Russell "Allen" Proctor.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Catherin Proctor; parents, Charlie Russell and Lucille Proctor, and his brother, Henry Thomas Proctor.
